Various Tile Materials

Based on the material used, tiles are divided into proclaim and ceramic. Persepolis Tiles manufactures both types of tiles, so you can select which type you need.

Porcelain tiles are composed of a particular type of clay, fine-grained sand, and natural materials, such as feldspar, granite, and silica. Ordinary tiles are made of ordinary clay, sand, and additives to boost tile strength. Porcelain tiles are cooked in the furnace at a higher temperature and more pressure than standard tiles. The texture of porcelain tiles is more robust than standard tiles. Some of the most notable differences between proclaim tiles and standard tiles arising from this different structure include:

• Porcelain tiles are less water-absorbent than ceramics. The water absorbency of porcelain tiles is 0.5%, while this value is well over 0.5% in ceramics.
• Porcelain tiles are more robust and durable than ceramics.

You cannot tell ceramics from porcelain tiles just by looking at them. You will need knowledge and sufficient relevant experience.
