Tips for using adhesives

  • Clean the surface in advance.
  • If the surface is even and smooth, starch it with a piece of glass to help adhesion.
  • Before application, make sure the wall surface is leveled. Determine the horizontal line using a level and ingot stick.
  • Do not apply the adhesive to more than 2 m2 of the surface; the adhesive may dry up before installing the tiles. First, apply the necessary amount of adhesive to 2 m2 of the surface, install the tiles. Repeat the process.
  • This method will not work out if you have to apply 8 kg of adhesive per square meter. Use sand and cement instead.
  • Level the surface vertically and horizontally.
  • Pointing the surface should be done 4-24 hours after installation.
  • Connections should be filled and free of any holes or holes.
  • In the end, remove the excess amounts while the adhesive is still not dry.

Installation tips using cement

- Make sufficient amounts of mortar with sand and cement and abide by the conventional combination ratio of tiling and masonry following the principles to ensure the high resistance of the building.

       - The mason uses sand and cement grout with a volume ratio of 1:5 to install glazed or unglazed 10×10 cm tiles on vertical surfaces. For pointing the surface, rock flour and cement grout should be used. The required amount of sand and cement grout and cement rock flour grout per square meter is 23 and 75 liters, respectively.

        - The tiler or mason uses sand and cement mortar with a volume ratio of 1:6 to install glazed or unglazed 30×30 cm tiles on vertical surfaces. For pointing the surface, the cement and rock flour grout is used. The required amount of sand and cement mortar and cement and rock flour grout per square meter is 33 and 1 liters, respectively.

       - In masonry or tiling, the formula for making the required grout, cement, and rock flour for pointing is as follows: 400 kg of cement, 960 kg of rock flour, and 480 liters of water (per cubic meter).

In construction masonry, the grout can be mixed with a water-repellent material or a particular material that gives it an even color; it can also be combined with both.

        - For tiling with 5.2 cm tiles on vertical surfaces, cement and sand grout (with a volume ratio of 5:1) is used. For pointing, the cement and rock flour grout is used. The cement sand grout and the cement and rock flour grout needed are 33 and 57, respectively. The best tiling grout is a mixture of Portland cement and thoroughly washed sand.

         - Avoid using lime in making tiling mortar.
